   Japan's iron and steel industry is experiencing a period of great change, arising from a long-term slowdown in demand and leading to consolidation for both manufacturers and distributors. Despite these harsh conditions, Onoken continues to report high ordinary profit to sales ratios each year. Onoken has achieved this feat through pursuing flexible management strategies unconstrained by past tradition, while sticking to the primary principle of always satisfying the needs of its customers.

   Onoken has spent more than fifty years satisfying, one by one, the requests of its clients. By so doing, it has expanded its competitive lines to build a broader customer base. Our supermarket-type business style displays a broad product lineup ranging from iron and steel products to construction equipment, and our huge stockyard and distribution system supports a wide range of products that can be delivered at short notice. To ensure that top-quality products are delivered at low prices, we make no distinction between domestic products or imports. On the basis of this policy, we have built up an overseas network to acquire materials rapidly. This network is one of Onoken's great strengths. You could truly say that Onoken is a company cultivated and disciplined by its clients.
